Gramcarat, a jewelry store, is taking over part of the vacant Modell's space at 7201 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. There is now permanent signage on the storefront glass, and temporary "coming soon" signage in the windows.
Gramcarat has been a vendor at the Montgomery Farm Women's Market in Bethesda, and is now expanding into its own permanent bricks-and-mortar location. The family-owned business offers 14kt & 18kt gold pieces, natural diamonds, and gemstones. Gramcarat also provides watch and jewelry repair services. This confirms that the big Modell's space is now going to be subdivided into smaller storefronts, so more tenants could be coming soon - hopefully including additional fast-casual restaurants.
If this business is not single ring in or appointment only, then it will no doubt be given the CVS, Nike etc spree treatment which is more than likely being plotted by no good triflers as we speak, even before construction of the place is halfway through.
ReplyDeleteHello Robert and thank you for the introduction to the neighborhood! We are now open and looking forward to serving the Bethesda community. We recently added 925 Sterling Silver to our line up. We're open now as a "soft launch" and planning for a grander opening over the summer.
ReplyDeleteStop by if you are in the neighborhood, we'd love to meet you!
Lisa & Curt Mohammed, GRAMCARAT proprietors.
