Cordell Avenue Dunkin' Donuts closes for renovations in Bethesda

The Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins at 4905 Cordell Avenue in downtown Bethesda is temporarily closed. A renovation project has begun to update the interior of the store. The franchisee just completed a similar refresh of the Bethesda Metro Center Dunkin' Donuts location. Customers are being redirected to the Metro Center and 4943 Elm Street locations during the closure.

  1. Much needed I'll tell you that. I wish two things: that they took away the ice cream and TJ would allow DD customers to use the patio on the roof.

  2. I hope the renovations include installing clerks who actually acknowledge customers, rather than ignoring them assiduously. I gave that specific shop a fair chance, *at least* three different visits at different times, and on each occasion the counter help would be toing-&-froing, being very busy doing. . . something, but none of it involving preparing orders for customers. I finally scratched them from my list, going instead to the DD in Kensington.

Here's to the updated interior bringing with it a revitalized workforce.

When the DD joint was on Bethesda Avenue, it had first class quality donuts.

    1. n/a - First of all, I like Dunkin Midnight coffee. And though I don't eat donuts anymore, when we were kids, there was nothing like Montgomery Donuts after Mass on Sunday. Man, they were good. Jelly filled, cinnamon twist and on and on.

The company name is no longer Dunkin Donuts. They shortened it to Dunkin in 2018. So one change is that they’ll put up a new sign reflecting that branding.
