This is going to be bad for Bethesda Row... Just have a gut feeling.

Should post multiple staffed cop cars or beat patrols on the sidewalks with push-to-talk connections to the store between there and the forthcoming Purple line entrance.

Watch, they'll have a dedicated security guard and that store will still get shoplifted within the first 48 hours of opening.

Unfortunately, and / but ironically, it may be an intended factor of their business plan to not waste resources or potential bad optics with catching, much less prosecuting shoplifters, unless egregious: nowadays, especially in these more urban markets 'shrinkage' whether internal or external is already factored in. The markup on cosmetics/fragrances is super high and the tiny items are difficult to monitor. I venture to say we will see little police activity called in by the proprietors/jobbers. But, the consequence of 'turning a blind eye' to theft is that more thieves are attracted to the area.

Stores like this should only be in malls. Better for everyone, all around.
