Bus stop update

Since my last report on the damaged bus shelter on Wisconsin Avenue at Stanford Street, someone has closed the advertising display case door that was hanging over towards the bench. Further repairs are needed to get the shelter back into presentable condition. A bag of trash was left on the bench for riders to discover, apparently. Stay classy, Montgomery County!

BETHESDA CRIME SCENE BENCH RESTORED (PHOTOS)

A positive update on the "crime scene" bench on Old Georgetown Road I told you about last week.

The bench had earned that name by all of the police crime scene tape wrapped around it. It turned out the back of the bench was an artwork, which had been stolen.

Last evening, the bench had been restored, and a new artwork supplied at great effort and cost by the artist.  It is now ready to use.

DON'T LEAN BACK ON THE "CRIME SCENE" BENCH IN DOWNTOWN BETHESDA (PHOTOS)

I don't know what, if anything, happened on this bench on Old Georgetown Road. But don't lean back, because there is no back.  It has temporarily been named, "The Crime Scene Bench," for its police tape wrap.

FIRST NEW METROBUS SIGNS INSTALLED IN BETHESDA! EXCLUSIVE PHOTO!

Another Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row Exclusive

The first next-generation Metrobus bus stop signs have appeared in Bethesda.
New T2 Metrobus NextBus sign on River Road in Bethesda
One pair is on River Road.  The only other I've spotted so far is on Battery Lane.

99.9% of Bethesda bus stops have these old signs
Previously, I've only seen these new bus stops signs in certain parts of the District.

Have you spotted any other new Metrobus signs in Bethesda, or in Montgomery County in general?
