A demolition permit has been requested for the headquarters of Miller and Long at 4824 Rugby Avenue in downtown Bethesda. The building is coming down to make way for
The Rugby, a mixed-use project being developed and constructed by The Donohoe Companies.
This is fantastic and will go a long way to livening up that end of the Triangle. Looking forward to a possible nice hangout spot in their public space if they add more retail.

DeleteBuilding Two will be the same height and approximately the same footprint and Building One, fronting Rugby Avenue. It will have a two story "bump-out" right at the corner of Auburn and Rugby, to include retail/restaurant.

ReplyDeleteTo add to the comment regarding the parking garage, the Bethesda Gallery garage is designed to connect to the garage of the new building. There is plywood retaining walls on all floors of the current garage, so it appears that they will connect.
