Kenwood cherry blossoms 2020 photo gallery

The famous Kenwood cherry blossoms don't know America is in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic, and are blooming as in any other year. Here's a look at them as cherry blossom season officially gets underway. Many Kenwood residents were concerned that the combination of stir-crazy quarantined families understandably looking for outdoor activities, and D.C. efforts to discourage crowds at the Tidal Basin cherry blossoms, would overwhelm their neighborhood. That was not the case, at least at the time these photos were taken yesterday.

We tried to go into Kenwood this afternoon but were not allowed to drive in. Police officer turned all cars away, and only pedestrians got through. This is the first time I have gone there that this happened. I was quite disappointed.

We went there on Sunday 3/22/20 from Reston VA. Police stopped the first left onto Dorset Ave & to community; however, we drove further and found the Brookside Drive to turn left & right at Dorset Ave.

I want to drive through Kenwood ASAP with my 89 year old friend. Will this be possible when sun shines?
