Car stolen in Potomac
Montgomery County police responded to a report of a stolen car in Potomac late Monday night. The vehicle taken was parked in the driveway of a home in the 7200 block of Masters Drive, near Brickyard Road. It was reported stolen around 11:58 PM, according to crime data.

These thefts are often made possible by the owners leaving their key fob in the car. What's become clearer now though is that there are handheld hacking devices available online that can trick the car into thinking the fob is in the car. That's a bigger problem.
