Let's return to the construction site of the future Solaire 7607 Old Georgetown Road apartment tower, now rising on the former location of La Madeleine in downtown Bethesda. It was at one-story tall in my last update, and now is up to 3 stories above street level. Developed by Washington Property Company, the 22-story building will house 198 rental units, 1,500 square feet of retail space, and four levels of underground parking. Delivery is anticipated for Q4 2023.

Looks nice. Hopefully this incentivizes a new supermarket to open up where the Safeway used to be there. I'm amazed the space has remained vacant for so long. Maybe potential tenants didn't want to be next to an active construction site? If that's the case, it'll sit empty for another year.
