Tobacco King opens in downtown Bethesda

Tobacco King
has opened at 7022 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. The latest smoke shop to open downtown, it is located on the service road across the street from Moby Dick House of Kabob. Tobacco King is in-between Mattress Firm and Sinatra's Gentleman's Barbershop, in the former home of Remix Recycling Co., which has relocated to 8121 Woodmont Avenue. The shop carries a variety of tobacco and e-cigarette/vaping products and accessories, glass pipes and bongs, and hookah supplies and equipment.

Am I a bad person because I think I just don't like these sort of businesses in my neighborhood?

    1. 1:43 - Of course not. No one wants them in any neighborhood.

      Agreed. It’s so disappointing.

@1:43 Sign of the times in liberal areas. If the county didn't have the liquor monopoly, there would be those businesses on every street corner like Baltimore.

Don't worry, the council has more important things to prioritize like restorative justice and using less salt on the roads this winter.

I've been noticing the recent "salt wise" suggestions for individuals worried about their own sidewalks and driveways in the event of snow, ice, or a wintry mix.
I understand that salt's not good for the environment (and so ultimately, for people).
But, considering the potential for serious injury (and/or personal liability) if anyone--and especially an older person--falls, wouldn't it be better to err on the side of more salt, rather than less?

  4. In all the deep Blue states and regions, the smell of pot every 5 feet is really hard to take at this stage. It's everywhere and that's what all these smoke shops are about and catering to. These aren't premium cigar and pipe shops. These shops are also cheap and tacky looking just what Bethesda doesn't need.

Next step to finalize the degradation is Hookah Lounges. Just a matter of time: SS and Bethesda will essentially become one. Marriott's presence won't save us.
