Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana is bringing back its popular seasonal Fresh Tomato Pie again this summer at all of its locations, including the one at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. This is the 17th year that Pepe's has offered the Fresh Tomato Pie, which tops the pizzeria's signature coal-fired crust with fresh native tomatoes, mozzarella cheese sliced daily in-house, garlic, basil, grated Pecorino Romano cheese imported direct from Italy, and just a touch of Pepe’s olive oil blend. The Fresh Tomato Pie will be sold from June 30, 2025 until the end of summer. World-famous Pepe's turns 100 this year, and what better way to celebrate than with a Fresh Tomato Pie from the Montgomery Mall location?

That pic makes me want to take a big bite! But i bet it's pricy and soggy. :(
I recently had Frank Pepe's pizza for the second time, and while it was quite tasty, I actually prefer Andy's pizza.
This needs an opt out policy for those who don't agree with the use of Fresh Tomato on their pie.
Just go up to New Haven, CT.
Yes and I've been many times. But we live in MoCo and should consider ourselves fortunate that Frank Pepe is in our backyard because New Haven is, well, in New Heaven.
Do they sell by the slice?
4:45 - No.
They don't have the coal fire Grandfathered in here.
11:09 - what does that mean? they have a coal oven like that original in new haven, ct.
MoCo allows coal but bans gas powered leaf blowers? LMFAO!
5:32 - Yes, that was discussed before when Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza was opening in Bethesda. Apparently there's a coal type that's not harmful otherwise, it would never be allowed in deep Blue MoCo. But your point is still a good one.
Spoiler Alert - This is my first and last post to this Blog.
I have been reading Robert Dyer's "BlogSpot" for years to keep apprised of the goings on in Bethesda and I commend Mr. Dyer for this "free" service. Occasionally, I scroll down to read the comments and what I don't commend are the snarky, spineless, "Anonymous" comments, excepting the personage who goes by the moniker "Jac", that proliferate this Blog.
As the well worn maxim goes; "If you don't have something nice to say, keep it to yourself." And, if any of you Anonymous scribes are wondering why I chose to post as Anonymous, it is because I have better ways to spend my time than engage in the "online" veil" of snarky frivolity.
6:44 - Well, I certainly your concern. Yes, 99% of my comments are about the subject. There are very few times that I've had something snarky or rude to say. What has happened though, more times than I can count, some snarky or juvenile ad hominem attack has been waged in my direction. I hope you change your mind and decide to stay.
@6:44, This blog isn't an airport, so there's no need to announce your departure.
The clarification is duly noted.
To hell with the fresh tomato promo, it's all about the CLAMS, man.
