Here is a look at the progress on the interior fit-out of Paris Baguette Bakery Cafe, opening soon at 4925 Fairmont Avenue, in the ground floor of the Sophia Bethesda apartment tower. The French-Korean bakery looks pretty close to opening inside. Display counters and cases have been installed, and as you can see, they've already been plugged in and are lit up. Blue tile walls, and patterned tile floors are also visible, along with one of the chain's taglines, "Freshly made to make your day." Paris Baguette has just added a number of menu items for summer, including a BBQ Chicken menu, strawberry and pistachio baked goods, and pistachio-flavored coffees.

I had no idea from walking by that it had a Korean element. I'm now even more excited for it to open!
9:59 - Well, that's going to be a potential problem overall. You may not realize it or be affected by it in this case, but people will potentially be very confused. It's called Paris Baguette. Why or how does Korean fit in that? It doesn't. Summer items like BBQ chicken are mentioned. How does that fit in either french cafe or Korean? It doesn't. All the graphics on the window show items you'd expect to find in a French Patasserie. Great! But ditch the Korean or folks will keep moving to one of the other 5 French cafes within walking distance from this one. They are going to come to this place wanting items that fit the name. So, on that front, great name.
On that note, it's always weird going to say, a 'Chinese' restaurant and seeing only, say Hispanics behind the counter and in the kitchen. Seems fake and kinda stilted. Usually I just go elsewhere.
9:37 - Exactly related. Are there any Italians in Amalfi in Rockville? No. Or a BBQ joint run by people who have done zero "training" or on the job experience with BBQ which isn't easy. You can't simply fire up a smoker and start serving. Who runs Cava, which is of course now a big company, Greeks Good for you for recognizing this.
