Montgomery County Police have arrested a suspect in the Tuesday murder of a White Flint Station condominium resident. The suspect is the victim's roommate, Rita Narcissa Sanders-Campfield, age 53, who was found in bed when police officers arrived at the condo. Sanders-Campfield is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Chong Park, age 67.
Police have identified the murder weapon as a butcher knife, and say Sanders-Campfield's diary - found at the scene - accuses Chong Park of "practicing witchcraft."
A Montgomery County judge has ordered a psychiatric evaluation of the suspect, who appeared for her hearing today via camera from the county jail.
Police were called to White Flint Station yesterday at 10:11 AM by condominium management, who had entered the unit and found the victim.
