Buredo appears to have closed in Bethesda
Buredo, a local sushi burrito chain, appears to have closed its Bethesda location in the Wildwood Shopping Center. The company's website also no longer lists the Bethesda store, although their Bethesda Facebook page remains online. Buredo's closed its H Street location a few weeks ago, which leaves them with stores in Tenleytown, NoMa, Dupont Circle and Franklin Square. Their Bethesda location opened last year.

Sanctuary Interior Design opening at Wildwood Shopping Center in Bethesda; Buredo update (Photos)
Vienna-based Sanctuary Interior Design will open a Bethesda location this fall in the Wildwood Shopping Center. They are calling the new outlet a "Rockstar interior design studio." The new Sanctuary location will also carry home design gifts.
Meanwhile, the sign is up at Buredo, the new fast-casual restaurant at Wildwood that will offer sushi burritos. As build-out of the interior continues, a nifty mural depicting highways and bridges across rivers is sure to make the blood of our "War on Cars" Montgomery County Council boil. "How dare they!"

Buredo to bring sushi burritos to Bethesda in 2017
Buredo, the D.C. chain known for Instagram-worthy giant sushi roll burritos, is coming to Bethesda. Their newest location will be in the Wildwood Shopping Center, and is scheduled to open in the spring of 2017, the company said on Facebook. The expansion was first reported by Jessica Sidman of Washingtonian magazine.
The word "burrito" is used loosely, as the wrap is a sheet of nori seaweed, not a tortilla. Yellowfin tuna, salmon, pork shoulder, tofu, and vegetables are among the many fillings. Menu selections are more preset than the make-your-own emphasis of places like Chipotle, Beefsteak and ShopHouse.
It will be interesting to see if the Wildwood location generates the Georgetown Cupake-style lines that Buredo has in the District. This is another upgrade by Federal Realty at the property, which has added upscale fast casual Fish Taco and celebrity chef Robert Wiedmaier's Wildwood Kitchen to its dining roster in recent times.
You can check out the current Buredo menu on their website.
