Thai Kitchen opening today in Bethesda - here's a sneak peek (Photos)

The Thai Kitchen plans to open today at 7015 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. They are in the former Fish Taco space. Here's an exclusive sneak preview of the interior and menu:

Now that Fish Taco has relocated from 7015 Wisconsin Avenue, what will happen to their former location? Now I have the answer. It is being taken over by The Thai Kitchen. Not to be confused with "Thai Kitchen" in Centreville, however.

RUBY THAI KITCHEN MOVES TO NEW SPOT IN MONTGOMERY MALL FOOD COURT (PHOTOS)

Ruby Thai Kitchen is the latest player in the Montgomery Mall food court game of musical chairs. The expansion of the food court has required several popular restaurants to move to different spots within the space.

Bethesda Thai restaurant Bangkok One has closed.  Located at 4928 Cordell Avenue, the restaurant officially closed at the end of September, according to an employee who answered the phone at Bangkok One's DC location.  That location remains open.

The restaurant has been cleaned out

Some regular customers said they found the restaurant closed prior to the end of September, yet Bangkok One had been announced as a participant in last weekend's Taste of Bethesda.

The restaurant had its fans, but was not usually crowded.  But it's too bad they didn't stick it out a while longer, as - by my count - downtown Bethesda has recently lost two other Thai restaurants, greatly reducing the competition.

Here's hoping an interesting new restaurant leases the space.
