Is it bad luck to have the word "urban" in the name of your business in Bethesda this year?

Two weeks after Urban Chic packed up and fled Bethesda Row in hurried fashion (pun intended), Urban Loft has quietly moved all of the furniture out of its showroom at the corner of Woodmont and Cordell Avenues.

Urban Loft had previously raised questions about how long it was staying in Bethesda earlier this year.  But in late August, the furniture design store suddenly moved its inventory back into the showroom.

Is this the same thing happening again, or are they moving for good this time?  Stay tuned.

URBAN LOFT SALE, NEW PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO OPENING ON CORDELL AVENUE

Among all of the change taking place on Cordell Avenue, the block that most often goes unnoticed is between Woodmont and Wisconsin Avenues.

Urban Loft, a high-end modern furniture dealer, has reopened at 4715 Cordell Avenue, and their 20% off Gus sale ends Sunday.
