Chuck E. Cheese moving to White Flint Plaza (Photos)

Chuck E. Cheese is relocating in White Flint. It will be moving from Loehmann's Plaza over to White Flint Plaza at 5238 Nicholson Lane. A new address and new logo won't be the only changes, however.

The pizza chain and birthday party headquarters is updating all of its locations to add an "interactive dance floor," where live concerts with Chuck and and other characters will take place every half hour. Other updates include Pass & Play bands instead of the iconic tokens, E-tickets replacing paper tickets, touchless payment options like Google Play and Apple Pay, self-service kiosks and mobile table ordering.

Signage has been installed at the new location. Chuck E. Cheese has also been added to the White Flint Plaza tenant sign out front. Here's a look at the construction inside the future location, and a last look at the current Chuck E. Cheese at Loehmann's Plaza:

McCormick Paints to open store at White Flint Plaza

McCormick Paints will open a new store at 5268 Nicholson Lane at White Flint Plaza. McCormick has an existing location on Lewis Avenue in Rockville. The new store is expected to open in early 2023. It will face competition from a nearby and also-new Sherwin-Williams store.

PGA Tour Superstore sets grand opening date in North Bethesda

The new PGA Tour Superstore at 5100 Nicholson Lane at White Flint Plaza finally has a tee-off date. Your big box golf store adventure will begin on Saturday, July 30, 2022 with a grand opening weekend celebration. There will be $30,000 in golf and tennis giveaways at the store. The PGA Tour Superstore will fill the void left by the closure of the nearby Golf Galaxy, which closed in 2018.

Aldi opens today at White Flint Plaza (Photos)

Montgomery County's newest Aldi grocery store opens today, February 24, 2022 at 5110 Nicholson Lane in the White Flint Plaza shopping center. It replaces Shoppers Food Warehouse there, and is not far from the existing Rockville Aldi store at Congressional Plaza. Yesterday, workers were making final preparations for today's grand opening: 

PGA Tour Superstore opening at White Flint Plaza in 2022

And they say there's nothing new in golf! PGA Tour Superstore will open a location at 5100 Nicholson Lane in White Flint Plaza in 2022. The 43,000 square foot store will be the Atlanta-based chain's first Maryland store. In addition to selling golf and tennis equipment, accessories and apparel, PGA Tour Superstores also provide lessons and clinics with pros. There is an existing location in the region in Fairfax. This is a hole-in-one for shopping center owner Combined Properties!

White Flint Plaza Domino's to remodel lobby

I've never spent much time thinking about the interior design of a Domino's Pizza restaurant. In fact, while I love Domino's pizza, I can't recall ever actually going inside one to order instead of having it delivered. But for those who do venture inside, you'll be delighted to know the Domino's at 5268 Nicholson Lane in the White Flint Plaza shopping center will be getting an updated lobby.

I'm told this remodeling of the customer area is one being rolled out nationwide by the pizza chain. It will include a new counter, bulkhead, and lighting, as well as new finishes reflecting updated national branding designs.

Title Boxing Club to open at White Flint Plaza

A new boxing gym is coming to the Pike District of Montgomery County. Title Boxing Club, which has an existing Rockville facility at 10028 Darnestown Road, will soon open a new location at 5268-R Nicholson Lane. This will be in the White Flint Plaza shopping center.

Shoppers Food Warehouse on Nicholson Lane not closing, but pharmacy will

Rumors of the demise of Shoppers Food Warehouse at 5110 Nicholson Lane in White Flint Plaza reached my desk earlier this week. However, a call to the grocery store confirmed it remains open indefinitely. A corporate spokesperson for the grocery chain responded to an inquiry earlier this week on Friday. She said the store will stay open for the immediate future, but that the pharmacy inside the store will close on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

Kuya Ja's Lechon Belly to open at White Flint Plaza this Spring

Kuya Ja's Lechon Belly has been serving Filipino specialties at a pop-up location inside Gwenie's Desserts at 12113 Nebel Street in North Bethesda. Now the owner is gearing up to launch a stand-alone restaurant in White Flint Plaza this Spring. According to the owner, the current pop-up will only continue for a few more weeks, before changing over to the new carryout restaurant. The restaurant will be at 5268-H Nicholson Lane.
