Sherwin-Williams plans to open a new retail store in the White Flint area. It will be located in a building at 5528 Nicholson Lane, across Huff Court from the new Harwood Flats apartments. Sherwin-Williams currently has a store not far away at Loehmann's Plaza at 5272 Randolph Road.

Perhaps a sign that the Sherwin-Williams in the Woodmont Triangle might be for sale. That triangular site must be very valuable, and is certainly under-utilized as a one story retail store and parking lot. Might make for a cool, flat-iron shaped building.
Out for a walk around noon today, and noted lots of business folks walking around the new Marriott HQ, checking out their new neighborhood. I also stopped in the cafe at the Marriott HQ, and learned that its open to the public. It seems to have well priced coffee drinks, starting at only $3 for a coffee, and a spacious seating area, and might give Sevenbucks a run for their money.
@ 1013 There's a sense of excitement in the air. Folks are getting ready to make serious money.
I heard rumors about a year ago that the Sherwin-Williams site at the Woodmont Triangle had been sold to the builder/developer Donahoe, and that the property would be redeveloped once the existing lease expired. Don't know about the accuracy of those rumors.
