Squishable relocates in Montgomery Mall in Bethesda


Squishable
has relocated to a new spot at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. But you won't have to go far out of your way to find it. The collectible stuffed toy boutique moved directly across the corridor from its previous location. Look for Squishable on Level 1 of the mall in the Macy's wing, in the corner space between UnderArmour and Brow Art 23.

Nazlymov Fencing relocates to church in Bethesda


Nazlymov Fencing
has relocated in Bethesda. Its former location at 7747 Old Georgetown Road in downtown Bethesda has closed. That former Jewelry Exchange building is slated for demolition to make way for a new apartment tower. Classes have moved to Westmoreland Congregational United Church of Christ at 1 Westmoreland Circle NW at the Maryland/Washington, D.C. line. One twist caused by the move is that fencing classes will no longer be available on Sundays. Nazlymov is offering to cancel memberships for students who cannot reschedule from Sundays to an alternate day. En garde!

Kokosh relocates at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda


Kokosh
has moved within Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. The cosmetics boutique debuted in the Macy's wing next to Purple back in December of 2023. It has stayed on Level 2, but now it is across from Uniqlo, next to LensCrafters. Carrying many of the top skincare products from South Korea has been a recipe for success for Kokosh at the mall, at a time when that country has become the standard for beauty and skincare across the globe. Kokosh also carries a line of jewelry reflecting the latest minimalist K-fashion trends in Seoul.

Longtime Bethesda family business moves to Rockville


Brothers Sew & Vac
, one of the longest-operating family-owned businesses in Bethesda, has moved to Rockville. Formerly located at 4826 St. Elmo Avenue in downtown Bethesda, they have relocated and opened at 1067 Rockville Pike in the Talbott Center across from Taco Bell. The Morris family has owned and operated the business for seven decades. Brothers carries vacuum cleaners, sewing machines, and medical grade air purifiers. They also repair and service all brands of sewing machines and vacuum cleaners.


Hours of operation at the new Rockville store are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Saturday. Right now, you can get 10% off anything in the store if you mention the code "Bethesda10" at purchase. Free shipping is also available on online orders. Another benefit of the Rockville location? Free parking!

has relocated its dental practice in downtown Bethesda. Drs. Adam Navabi and Iris Hirschfeld have moved from 7700 Wisconsin Avenue to a new office space at 4808 Moorland Lane, in Suite 107. Nordstrom Sunglasses Shop relocates at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda

 


The Sunglasses Shop has relocated inside of Nordstrom at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. It can now be found on Level 2 of the department store, between Handbags and Accessories. The shop carries the top sunglasses brands, including Ray Ban, Fendi, Gucci, Prada, Oakley, and Versace. Another advantage of the shop is that, unlike many eyewear chains, Nordstrom has an unlimited return time period for most items, provided they are in original condition.

Head2Toe Health relocates in Bethesda


Head2Toe Health & Aesthetics
has relocated in Bethesda. They have moved out of their space on St. Elmo Avenue, and are now open at their new location at 7505 Democracy Boulevard in Suite A113. The wellness center first opened in downtown Bethesda in 2019. That building is expected to be demolished to make way for a new apartment tower.

Indigo Octopus opens at Bethesda Row


Indigo Octopus
has opened at 7126 Bethesda Lane at Bethesda Row. It's really a move south, as the beach lifestyle apparel boutique's Wildwood Shopping Center location has closed. For those still wanting the full beach shopping experience, their Fenwick Island store at 101 Coastal Highway remains open for business from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM seven days a week. Operating hours at the Bethesda Row boutique are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sundays. Indigo Octopus carries women's dresses, denim, tops, jewelry, swimwear, shoes and accessories from labels like Anine Bing, Free City, Byredo, Frankies, Spell, and Mother.

Tumi relocates at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda


Tumi
has moved inside of Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. Its previous location on Level 2 of the mall, between GAP and Coach, is now closed and walled off. Signage posted across that storefront is directing customers to the new location. Their new spot is also on Level 2, next to Perfume World in the Macy's Home wing of the mall. The change is so new, it does not yet appear on the mall's website map.

A Beautiful Closet relocates at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda


A Beautiful Closet
has joined the game of musical chairs at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. Last December, the fashion boutique moved to the Nordstrom wing on Level 1. Today, it has relocated up to Level 2, in between Laderach and LensCrafters. This is their largest space yet, and has a sharper-looking sign over the storefront. A Beautiful Closet features sustainable apparel and accessories sourced from around the world, including Italy and Turkey. 



Luggage Plus moves at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda


All the luggage stores at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda seem to be moving this summer. Last month, I reported on Tumi's plans for relocation. Now, with far less of a preamble, Luggage Plus has up and moved from Level 2 down to Level 1, next to Häagen-Dazs. Or, based on the sign over their new storefront, "Lu gag Plus."

Pronto Press relocates in Bethesda


Pronto Press
has made a very short move in downtown Bethesda. It has vacated its original space at 4920 Fairmont Avenue, and moved diagonally across the street into a shared storefront with Once Again Tech at 4915-B Fairmont Avenue, in the ground floor of the Ellis Bethesda apartment tower. Pronto Press offers a variety of quick printing services, as well as worldwide shipping via several major carriers. It has been on Fairmont Avenue since 2014.

Velatis Caramels opens in Bethesda


Velatis Caramels
has opened at 4928 Hampden Lane at the Shoppes of Bethesda. The 159-year-old candy business was previously a fixture in Silver Spring. Before that, it was in Washington, D.C., and started off in Richmond before the Civil War. Velatis closed the Silver Spring store in April, and has now completed the move to downtown Bethesda. It still needs a sign above the storefront, though. "Underwraps?"

Foot Locker temporarily relocates at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda


Foot Locker
has temporarily moved to a smaller space at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. Its previous spot on Level 1 has been cleared out. The new location is right outside of Macy's Home, next to AT&T on Level 2. However, the game of musical chairs is only beginning, as Foot Locker is expected to move into a larger space at the mall, along with a new Kids Foot Locker, later this year. They do need to light up that sign over the entrance, though! Super low energy.

Hardwood Artisans makes the move in downtown Bethesda


Hardwood Artisans
has relocated within the Woodmont Triangle neighborhood of downtown Bethesda. The upscale furniture retailer has moved only about block south to 7766 Woodmont Avenue, in the Woodmont Crescent building. Their new showroom is larger in size, and is decorated for the upcoming July 4th holiday. All Hardwood Artisans furniture is Made in the U.S.A. in Virginia.

Janie and Jack opens in new location at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda


Janie and Jack
has completed its move at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. It was a short move across the Nordstrom wing on Level 2 for the children's apparel boutique. Janie and Jack is now open next to California Pizza Kitchen. Founded in 2002 in San Francisco, Janie and Jack carries clothing for children in sizes from "newborn to 18."

Janie and Jack's new storefront ready at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda


Janie and Jack
could be making the switch any day now at Westfield Montgomery Mall. In fact, the children's clothing boutique's new location - next to California Pizza Kitchen on Level 2 - has already been updated on the mall website. If the usual location is closed when you arrive, just look across the corridor for the new spot. Signage has been installed above the new storefront. Inside, inventory is visible on the shelves.

Marvel Adventure Lab relocates at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda


Face front, true believers! The Marvel Adventure Lab kiosk has moved at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. It was formerly located in the Dining Terrace food court on Level 2. Look for it now outside of Forever 21. The Marvel Adventure Lab is a photo booth that allows you to pose with your favorite Marvel Comics superhero, or insert yourself into a page from a comic book. The final product prints out for you to take home. Excelsior!

Donutchew moves to bigger spot at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda


Donutchew
has relocated at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. The mochi donut chain had such a great success with its mall kiosk, that it has upgraded to a larger stall at the outer end of the Dining Terrace food court. Its kiosk space has been walled off. Look for Donutchew on Level 2 of the mall, next to Cellaxs, and across from Chocolate Moonshine.
