Tips to Toes closing July 15, will move to new Bethesda location

Another business being displaced by the future Marriott headquarters in downtown Bethesda has found a new location. Tips to Toes will close July 15 at its 7711 Woodmont Avenue salon location. They will move to 4715 Cordell Avenue, and reopen at that location sometime in August. Stay tuned for an opening date.

Relaxed! Nails and Spa has installed signage and window art at its future home in the Westwood Shopping Center on Westbard Avenue.

Why the exclamation point? Because at this spa, you won't be relaxed. You'll be relaxed! Apparently, there is a difference.

No opening date has been announced, but I expect it to come sooner, rather than later.

DRYBAR UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT BETHESDA ROW

Ladies, remember when I broke the story that Drybar was coming to Bethesda Row?

The future location is now under construction.  Yesterday, the blowouts-only salon put up these promotional graphics to cover the drab storefront while the work is done.  And working hard they are behind that wall; there was a lot of activity in there when I passed by.

Ladies, the biggest salon trend in Southern California is coming to Bethesda Row.

The Dry Bar specializes in one thing and one thing only:  blowouts.

Their charge is $35, wash included.

Bethesda Row's popular Bella Bethesda salon wants to give Bethesda's "Most Beautiful Mom" a free makeover for Mother's Day.
