Capital Teas "temporarily closed" at Bethesda Row

Capital Teas was dark yesterday at 4806 Bethesda Avenue. According to the Annapolis-based company, their Bethesda Row store is "temporarily closed due to restructuring of our retail operations."

They are referring customers to their website, which remains active for sales.

Zen Tara Tea, a tea shop and cafe on Bethesda Avenue, has officially closed its doors. A farewell message to loyal customers was in the window yesterday. But fans of the shop are invited to shop in their online store.  The owners also hint at a next chapter, offering to keep those who join their email list apprised of developments on that front.

Bethesda Avenue tea shop Zen Tara Tea is closing later this month, but has a special message for its customers and friends in Bethesda.

A new artwork display in the storefront's windows says thank you - literally - in several languages.

The shop will continue online, where you can order teas at ZenTaraTea.com.

ZEN TARA TEA CLOSING MAY 26 IN BETHESDA

Tea aficionados in Bethesda are saddened to hear Zen Tara Tea on Bethesda Avenue plans to close on May 26.

The shop has always had a wide selection of teas, and a welcoming atmosphere. It has been perhaps known best for its tea events, and efforts to remain open during Bethesda bad weather events, when other businesses closed up.
