Eastham's site sealed off on Fairmont Avenue (Photos)

Security fencing has gone up around the former BP gas station that served as temporary home for the legendary Eastham's ServiCenter, at the corner of Fairmont Avenue and Old Georgetown Road. The service station and office building next door will be demolished to make way for Duball, LLC's Cheval Bethesda luxury condo tower.

That building is expected to deliver in 2017.

      6:04: Nobody ever made that statement. You're playing the race card, not anybody else. This building is right by Metro, and County services. Great planning. I have no idea what you're ranting about. Trump derangement syndrome?

      It's not "right near Metro", it's 3/4 miles away, outside the optimum 1/2 mile walk shed, and only slightly closer than Westbard is to Friendship Heights.

    How in the world are they going to put a building on only the former gas station site? It isn't nearly big enough. No mention of building next door going down but it'll have to in order to fix an apartment building.
