Site Plan filed for Brownstones at Westbard Square in Bethesda

Bethesda-based developer EYA has filed its Site Plan and a Forest Conservation Plan amendment for the Brownstones at Westbard Square development with the Montgomery County Planning Board. A required pre-submittal public meeting on the plan was held in March. The next step will be the scheduling of a public hearing on the proposed plan and amendment. A public announcement sign has been posted at the property. An initial set of the brownstones on the project's second site, the former Westwood Shoppng Center property, sold out within a few hours of their release.

I thought there was supposed to be a new apartment building across from the building where the Giant and the Garage is in the sketch plan too but I have heard nothing on that since they first made the proposal.

11:44: You are correct - there will be an apartment building across Zenith Overlook from the Giant building. Regency Centers is expected to partner with a different developer than EYA for that project, if my understanding is correct.

Hopefully, they will erect rope suspension bridges so they could shop at the new Giant store that is perched on top.

Not a fan of accessing the new Giant. So many levels you have to drive up and cars coming fast and furious at each corner.
Underground parking and a store at street level would have been preferable.
