Coffee Republic will open at 7629 Old Georgetown Road in the Bethesda Place apartments this Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 7:00 AM. The first 100 customers in line will receive a free drink of their choice, and the first 300 will get a swag bag. Every customer Sunday and Monday will enjoy one free hot-drip coffee all day long, if they download the Coffee Republic app. According to a new sign in the window, the coffee shop's menu includes all-day breakfast. Outdoor patio seating is in place; all that's needed is for the weather to cooperate.

I was first on line for the Peet's grand opening and got a nice logo ball cap AND an aluminum coffee travel mug, but I won't be anywhere near that new line on the 22nd knowing what riff-raff it will attract. 300 people? WTH. Free joe for EBT & their kids, what could possibly go wrong. Patrol cars will be dispatched, mark my words. I'll be sitting in the chair by the window at the newly opened Sprouts sippin' on a double espresso waiting for the carnage to clear.

Just got a cuppa Joe (free) and it was like setting foot back in time albeit a more fancier decor, kind of like a Peet's 2.0. It was so packed that I didn't even see the Jesus Christ Superstar painting that so many of you heathens got your panties all in a wad over.
