Credit cards stolen from vehicle in Mohican Hills in Bethesda

Thieves are afoot again in the Massachusetts Avenue corridor of Bethesda. Credit cards were taken from inside a vehicle parked in the 5600 block of Mohican Road in Mohican Hills on Friday, March 20, 2026. The thief later attempted to use at least one card. Remember to lock your vehicle and remove all valuables from the interior, and do not leave your car keys in the glove compartment or the ignition(!!).

"The game's afoot."
Most commonly connected to Sherlock Holmes--but it also appears in Shakespeare's "Henry V" (spoken by the King himself).
A point possibly pedantic--but not pedestrian.

If the perps return it, will they be called Indian Givers?

12:06, around here that's a big no-no. They'd be called "Native American Givers," just as "Native American Summer" now is mandated to describe our brief Fall season warm up.

So let me understand this... tho the thieves somehow entered this automobile, the reported crime is theft of CCs, but no damage nor theft of other valuables? CCs separated from IDs and wallet/purse type items? Hopefully video taken when the CCs were used will shed some light on this. Were the CCs in view in an unlocked car? It's not like our lib neighbors or popo to plant a bait car. Just kids?

Ok, last sentence, lol. Crime happens to conservatives as well as liberals. Keep trying. :)
