Marriott International's downtown headquarters has only been open a few years, and its plaza is already in need of repairs. The promenade between the Marriott HQ and the Marriott Bethesda Downtown hotel at 7707 Woodmont Avenue was closed to the public last night. "Plaza closed for repairs," read a sandwich board sign. It was not immediately clear which aspects of the gathering space were in need of repair. But we know the menus in these buildings are. Bring back the original recipe Mighty Mo Burger, Teen Twist, Orange Freeze, and chicken noodle soup with the round noodles!

Well, judging from the pics my guess is they're swapping out light bulbs on the overhead guidewire.
Shoddy work as always leads to this in these times of current construction planning, materials, design and "workers.".
I wonder why Marriott hasn’t bought the vacant Woodmont Grill Building ?? Can you imagine a Hooters or Cracker Barrel opening right in the middle of their global HQ ?? I don’t think any another $100B company would miss out on something so obvious….

I that the approved cable lighting over the plaza has been removed. Not sure this complies with their entitlement.

The original overhead lights they originally had installed were taken out last summer after swaying too much in storms and becoming dangerous. The new ones are identical in design but much lighter and thinner. Still ugly as hell though.
Wouldn't it be great if Marriott bought that building and turned it into a Hot Shoppes?
Yeah, all the MAGA's on entitlements... Seriously, get help and change networks.
