Bethesda power outage darkens homes in Cabin John Park neighborhood

A transformer failure caused a power outage in the Cabin John Park neighborhood in Bethesda last night. The outage occurred at 9:17 PM last evening. Pepco had expected to restore power by early this morning. Nine customers were affected, according to Pepco.

It should be noted that Cabin John Park is not near the more well-known Cabin John Regional Park in Bethesda, but off of MacArthur Boulevard west of Glen Echo. Cabin John Creek Park is adjacent to the neighborhood, however.
