Bethesda's M&N's Pizza named one of the top 100 restaurants in America by Yelp

Manoj Mehta, co-owner of M&N's Pizza at 4914 Del Ray Avenue in downtown Bethesda, contacted me with some incredible news: His pizzeria was just named one of the Top 100 Restaurants in America for 2024 by Yelp users. The accomplishment is even more impressive when you consider that there are no other Montgomery County establishments on the list, and only two other restaurants in the entire DMV region appear on it. Dishes from the eatery's Indian-inspired menu highlighted by Yelp are the Aushak Pizza, the Dal Makhani Pizza, Chicken Vindaloo, and Achari Lamb.

"You absolutely can’t go wrong with any of the pizzas here!" Yelper Haley S. of Kensington wrote in her review, which was chosen as a representative of the many M&N's raves for the annual list. "We try to get a new pizza each time, since there are seriously no pizzas that are bad. So far though, our favorites are the Spicy Chicken Curry (it’s actually spicy, which is appreciated), the Bharta (an excellent vegetarian option), and Spicy Peri-Peri (I want to order this one every time). Plus, the owners are really friendly and kind."

M&N's Pizza moves to new downtown Bethesda location

M&N's Pizza, a pizzeria best known for its spicy Indian pizzas, has made its long expected move to 4914 Del Ray Avenue. Its former home, a distinctive tiny building on Old Georgetown Road, is now shuttered. Of course, with delivery at 301-656-6262, it won't matter whether they've moved closer or further away from your address.

M&N's Pizza to relocate in downtown Bethesda

One of the most unique pizzerias in downtown Bethesda will be leaving one of the most unique restaurant buildings in downtown Bethesda this summer. M&N's Pizza, currently located at 7750 Old Georgetown Road, is planning to move to 4914 Del Ray Avenue. The owner says they haven't finalized their exact moving date yet, but it should be approximately three weeks from now.

Yesterday morning, a crew installed a lighted sign at the new M&N's location on Del Ray. By nightfall, it was already lit up. You may recall this was most-recently home to a short-lived Paisano's Pizza restaurant. M&N's has a strong 4-and-a-half-star rating on Yelp, so they should fare better here.

What makes M&N's unique is their menu. They have an extensive lineup of what they call "Whacky Pizzas," which include several Asian pizzas, many Indian pizzas, a Mexican one and even one called the "Crazy Pizza," which also has some Indian flavors among its toppings. They also have Indian entrees such as curries and samosas, burgers (including the vegan Impossible Burger), gyros, pasta, subs, calzones, and a dessert menu.
