Pizza oven installed at Piccoli Piatti Pizzeria at Westbard Square in Bethesda

The pizza oven has arrived at the future Piccoli Piatti Pizzeria at 5306 Zenith Overlook at Westbard Square in Bethesda. Manufactured by Marra Forni, the Neapolitan pizza oven is customized with the name of the restaurant across the front. "Italian inspired American craftsmanship" utilizes MarraStone, a refractory brick composed of volcanic material. Best of all, Marra Forni is based right here in Beltsville, Maryland. Stay tuned for an opening date, but you can get an advance taste at their Wildwood Shopping Center location in Bethesda.

My question would be, what's going to happen to the coal oven leftover from Anthony's? That's a golden opportunity for someone even though I've decried the amount of pizza places in the downtown sector. But coal-fired, executed well, is hard to beat.

Coal is BAD! Solar powered pizza ovens are the way of the future!

Incorrect. MoCo would never approve a coal oven unless it was "Global Warming" approved. Apparently, there's good and bad coal. Who knew.
