Wildwood Starbucks closes for renovations in Bethesda

Another Bethesda Starbucks store has temporarily closed for renovations. The Wildwood Shopping Center location at 10251 Old Georgetown Road will add "exciting updates," a sign in the window promises. No reopening date is given.

The major remodeling of the Norfolk Avenue store in downtown Bethesda has fallen disastrously behind-schedule, and has missed several reopening dates. Hopefully this one goes more smoothly. Until then, Wildwood patrons will have to head to Joe and the Juice, which is also located a few doors down in the shopping center.

Will they change the sign from Starbucks Coffee to just Starbucks? Asking for a friend.

I'll go out on a limb and say yes.

Let's be honest, do they even need a name, the log is enough, society no longer read signs, they let Google do the work them.

The new chairs outside looked nice when I walked by at 7:00 pm, but will probably be either stolen or found across the street at Veteran's Park even before they reopen...

They're not open yet but you can sit in the new 4 chairs & a table set outside already!

Le Pain (LPQ) has a golden opportunity, but they're too French - they'll keep doing things as they always have. Joe & the Juice is even more Euro - The entire Wildwood shopping center(except CVS) would fit better on the Continent than it does in the Maryland Suburbs.
