EagleBank logo attached to new HQ at Bethesda Metro Center

Bethesda-based EagleBank is scheduled to consolidate its two Montgomery County offices into a single headquarters at 7500 Old Georgetown Road later this year. The bank's logo has just been applied to the top of the recently renovated office tower at the Bethesda Metro Center. Formerly known as "The Clark Building" under previous owner Clark Construction, the building is now owned by In-Rel Properties, which invested greatly in upgrades to make it more competitive in a challenging office market.

“We are excited to establish a new headquarters that strengthens our connection to the community we proudly serve,” EagleBank President and CEO Susan Riel said in a statement. “This move is more than just a relocation – it is an investment in our commitment to Maryland. As we continue to grow, our Relationships First approach will empower our teams to work together in ways that directly benefit our customers and neighbors. Our new space will be the foundation for the collaborative, community-centered growth that defines EagleBank’s future.”

“Our state-of-the-art building at 7500 Old Georgetown Road provides the ideal environment for our tenants to achieve their strategic goals in a space designed to foster collaboration,” In-Rel Properties Principal Jackson Siegal said. “We are delighted to welcome EagleBank as it continues investing in the local community, driving growth in the very market it serves.”

UPDATE: Dunkin' Donuts to reopen at Bethesda Metro Center

UPDATE - September 10, 2024: I have been informed that the Bethesda Metro Center Dunkin' Donuts is temporarily closed for renovations, and will reopen this Friday, September 13, 2024, despite no signage notifying customers of this, and the removal of the location from the national website.

Dunkin' Donuts has closed at the Bethesda Metro Center. The store has been closed in recent days, and men have been working inside, but no sign was posted to inform customers about the closure. However, Dunkin' Donuts has now removed this location from its website. Dunkin' Donuts recently opened a new kiosk one stop south on the Red Line, at the Friendship Heights Metro station.

The donut and coffee chain retains two publicly-accessible shops in downtown Bethesda, at 4905 Cordell Avenue, and at 4943 Elm Street. A third store at Naval Support Activity Bethesda (a.k.a. the Naval Base) is not accessible by the general public. The Bethesda Metro Center Dunkin' Donuts opened in 2014.

Bethesda's "Clark Building" gets new marketing push

The recently remodeled office building at 7500 Old Georgetown Road in downtown Bethesda has new branding, and a new marketing push to attract tenants seeking Class-A office space atop a Metro station. Known locally as the "Clark Building," for former owner Clark Construction, the property has been rebranded as 7500 OGR by new owner In-Rel Properties. A large banner has been placed on the building with leasing information. Here is a video in which In-Rel principal Jackson Siegal gives a brief look at the building's new lobby and amenity additions.

Bethesda Metro Center Clark Building renovations update (Photos)

Let's check in at 7500 Old Georgetown Road, a.k.a. the Clark Building, at the Bethesda Metro Center. A major, $21 million renovation has been taking place at the Class A office property since January. Aside from facade updates and new tenant amenities, there has been a transformation of the lobby on the ground floor, and an update to the entrance. You can see the sharp, new 7500 logo on the wall in the lobby, where the makeover is nearing completion.

7500 Old Georgetown renovations update (Photos)

A massive exterior and interior renovation project continues at the Clark Building at 7500 Old Georgetown Road at the Bethesda Metro Center. It is being rebranded as 7500 Old Georgetown.

7500's facade has a brighter, two-tone paint scheme, and the ground floor entrance is being completely overhauled to create an "activated lobby experience." Updates include a Metro level tenant lounge, a new fitness center, and a penthouse-level conference center and lounge. A new exterior plaza and landscaping will round out the changes.

The $24 million renovation is anticipated to be completed this fall. Clark Enterprises sold the building to Stonebridge in 2019. Stonebridge has leased the building to Transwestern, which is now marketing the many available suites at the property to prospective tenants.

Clark Building makeover update (Photos)

The brightening and whitening of the facade of the Clark Building at the Bethesda Metro Center continues. Work has proceeded around the other side of the tower facing the Metropolitan public parking garage. If you look closely in the last photo below, you can see the scaffolding, and coverings over some of the windows.
