Police arrest suspects in Bethesda pizzeria robbery spree

Montgomery County police have arrested two men in connection with a recent string of pizzeria robberies in Bethesda and Glenmont. Terrance Barfield, 22, and Jaylen Cunningham, 18, both of Washington, D.C., were arrested in a traffic stop in Chevy Chase shortly after they allegedly robbed Manny and Olga's at 8118 Woodmont Avenue in downtown Bethesda on October 8, 2025. Detectives say they have determined Barfield and Cunningham were also the robbers of Domino's Pizza at 4817 St. Elmo Avenue on September 23, of Pizza Hut at 12335 Georgia Avenue in Glenmont on September 28, and of Papa John's at 7200 47th Street in Bethesda on October 1.

Barfield and Cunningham were transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where they were charged with armed robbery, motor vehicle theft, and related offenses. Both are being held without bond. Their mug shots have not been released to the public.

The VAST majority of crime is Committed by REPEAT OFFENDERS. If you PERMANENTLY LOCK UP someone on their First, or even Third arrest, then Crime decreases a LOT! Look at https://bjs.ojp.gov/document/ahpasp0914.pdf - over 80% of arrests were for people with 3 or more prior arrests. TOUGH ON CRIME WORKS!

I'd like to know if this was pure luck, or not.

Hey, let’s all give the police around of applause…
Right? RIGHT? Way to go.

Have they released them yet?

Surprised no one has yet tried to excuse the behavior of these young criminals because of societal failures.

I'm not sure what to say about the Woodmont Ave robbery. You can literally throw a rock from there and hit the police station. As was said though, great police work. McCarthy and/or a Rockville judge will let them back on the street soon don't worry.

8:46 - Yes, but we don't have that here. Did you realize that in DC, a suspected criminal, 18 years of age, can't even be indicted. Younger perps in MoCo, not to mention ones who are legally adult, get slapped on the wrist over and over again. And what do they do, reoffend. Great!

Just what the hell is a Rockville judge?

The district court types at that location who don't care about the law.
