Dormify opens, VIP closes at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda (Photos)

If you're experiencing deja vu with the latest tenant moves at Westfield Montgomery Mall, you're not alone. Pop-up Dormify, which just opened on Level 1 outside of Nordstrom, has been around since its early days in 2013 as a kiosk at Bethesda Row. It has most of what you need if you are heading off to college this summer.

Departing for what seems like the 8th time is VIP Outdoor. You can probably bet money that they will be back in another location at the mall in the near future.

VIP holiday pop-up shop closes at Westfield Montgomery Mall

V.I.P Outdoor, a boutique specializing in name brand outerwear, has closed its temporary holiday pop-up shop at Westfield Montgomery Mall. V.I.P.'s main store in the mall by Old Navy remains open for business.

VIP Outdoor opens second storefront at Westfield Montgomery Mall

VIP Outdoor has a second storefront now at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. This one is located next to Brookstone. You may recall VIP returned to the mall back in April, across from Crave on Level 1.

Apparel store VIP has opened at Westfield Montgomery Mall, across from Crave on Level 1. If it sounds familiar, local entrepreneur David Castain previously leased space at the mall for a VIP outdoor apparel store in September of 2012. If you're still regretting the loss of the Burton store, VIP carries some Burton apparel.

VIP OUTDOOR CLOSES IN BETHESDA (PHOTOS)

VIP Outdoor has closed its doors at Bethesda's Westfield Montgomery Mall.  Given that the store primarily sold high-end, winter outerwear, this was probably the plan all along.

The store's operator, David Castain, is one of Washington D.C.'s top young entrepreneurs. Castain recently announced that he has been accepted into a postgraduate program at Georgetown University.

Washington D.C. businessman and nightlife guru David Castain is expanding into Bethesda, opening the new V.I.P. Outdoor apparel store at Westfield Montgomery Mall.

Now if I can just ever convince the right people to build an upscale, Las Vegas-style nightclub and lounge here in Bethesda, he might be in town even more often, putting on the kinds of events he currently promotes in the District.
