Fish Taco "coming soon" at Bethesda Row; Amazon Books stalled?

Fish Taco has installed a bump-out construction barrier across the front of the restaurant's future location at 7251 Woodmont Avenue. It features the local chain's logo. Meanwhile, many are starting to wonder how Amazon Books will be ready to open their Bethesda Row store by the promised summer date. There's no visible activity at their future space when I go past during business hours, and the windows remain fully covered. For a store where design is expected to be paramount, they certainly are cutting it close with the construction.

Amazon is so incredibly organized and obviously more than amply funded that they could open that store in a week. Have no fear, they'll be open it's only April.

I live above the future amazon store, there has been a lot of construction noise reverberating through our building for months.

I go to the existing Fish Taco (on Wisconsin Ave 2 blocks away) frequently. Looks like they have new staff there, so maybe the current staff has been assigned to the new location to get things up and running.

On a related note, lots of work going on next to Fish Taco where Stromboli was.. finally.

I don’t believe they will need to do any exterior work at Amazon Books, other than painting the window frames and adding their sign. That’s why you don’t see anything going on. For the Fish Taco, they are combining two different adjacent storefronts into one, so at least some exterior modifications are likely underway.

If you had to choose between eating tacos every day or being skinny for life would you choose hard or soft tacos?

Anna coming in, asking the hard questions.

And the answer is soft tacos, of course. ;)
