The Montgomery County government liquor store in downtown Bethesda that
closed after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus on March 25 has reopened this morning. Montgomery County Liquor & Wine at 4920 Hampden Lane has been "thoroughly cleaned," according to the County liquor department. In fact, they say, every single product, shelf and surface in the store has been disinfected. Can we expect a run on the place today?

Honest question. If the virus dies off after time, why the specific need to clean through everything?
@4:34 PM Wouldn't you rather be extremely safe than sorry. I'd feel much more secure knowing my government agency took the extra care to clean every inch of the store, military style, to ensure the public that all measures were taken to kill this deadly virus.
Isn’t that purely psychological, though? The higher ups telling us the cleaning measures work are the same ones that tell us the virus will die off on its own.
@11:27AM: It would be even more effective to close the store permanently and let the private sector sell liquor like they do everywhere else.
