Sur la Table will be the latest business closure in Friendship Heights. The store at 5211 Wisconsin Avenue NW will permanently close in August or September, I am told. You would think Sur la Table would have gotten a boost from people dining more at home, but instead, the company has filed for bankruptcy.

Nearby, Tabandeh Jewelry is holding a liquidation sale at Mazza Gallerie. A sign posted declares, "Everything must go!"
