JBG Smith's 8001 Woodmont development continues progressing toward the finish line at 7900 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. The project is anchored by Trader Joe's, features an Orangetheory Fitness gym, and was scheduled for a Q3 2020 delivery. Clearly that did not happen, as we are now in the fourth quarter of the year, but the pandemic has impacted virtually every area of commerce worldwide in 2020.

Is the plan to have the existing Trader Joe's remain open? I've never been a fan of the existing location. It's way too small for the area and it's inconvenient to go to the top floor of a shopping center. However, if the new store reduces the crowding at the old store, it may be more tolerable.
