Construction is now underway on the future GW Immediate and Primary Care clinic on Arlington Road at Bethesda Row. The clinic will be staffed by personnel from The GW Medical Faculty Associates, a non-profit medical group spun off from George Washington University in 2000. As the name suggests, it provides typical urgent care services, as well as long-term primary care. It currently has three clinics in Washington, D.C., located in Cleveland Park, McPherson Square, and near the Rhode Island Avenue Metro station.

Wow, that looks like a major facade change! This seems like a great service oriented tenant for a hard to lease edge of Bethesda Row, facing a busy road. It will be nice to have multiple choices for urgent and primary care in downtown.
I am really curious to see what Federal Realty has in the works for the former Amazon Books space. A fairly high visibility corner that anchors the retail streetscape on the west end of Bethesda Avenue. It needs a nice destination retailer. Perhaps a new Kramer Books and Cafe, a Second Story Books or maybe even a Politics and Prose Bookstore? Hey, one can certainly dream.
This should do very well in this location.
@6:11AM I hear it will be a Impatient Secondary Care facility for all those B-towner who can't get care fast enough at the two facilities already scheduled to open.
