It would have been fairer to the subject of this item to put the quotation marks in your post's title around the entire phrase, "due to illness," which you quote below from the Cafe's own statement.
Putting the quotation marks around just "illness" makes it sound as though you think something else might be going on--although you haven't provided any evidence of that.
4:49: I agree. That's what I intended to do as I did in the article. Thank you for bringing the error to my attention, and I have corrected the headline.
4:45: My guess is staff. Like many small and/or family-owned businesses, they probably don't have a large pool of workers who can fill in. That's why some businesses have to close for a few days just to take a brief summer vacation, for example.
