Spirit Halloween coming to Bethesda for 2020

Spirit Halloween will open a Bethesda location for the 2020 Halloween season. It will be located in the former Sears space at Westfield Montgomery Mall. You may recall last year a lesser-known Halloween props-and-costumes retailer used the Sears space. This year, we're getting the real thing. A visit to Spirit Halloween is a Halloween-season event in itself!

Residents in the North Bethesda/White Flint area will be glad to know that Spirit Halloween will also have a second store in their area. It will be at Federal Plaza in the former Five Below space, and will open on September 8. No opening date has been announced for the Bethesda store yet.

Halloween City stocks up in Bethesda

Halloween City opened so early at Westfield Montgomery Mall that they hadn't even been able to fully stock the shelves. Now those shelves are finally filling up at the Halloween pop-up, which is located in the second level of the former Sears store. The Gargoyle TV is 50% off - a real steal.

Halloween City has just opened in the top floor of the shuttered Sears store at Westfield Montgomery Mall. They are so new that they are still stocking the shelves, as you can tell from the photos below. Halloween City offers costumes, accessories, props and decorations. They're only using part of the sales floor, but if you miss Sears, this is your chance to get back inside one more time before it's demolished.

Now the only variety store left in Bethesda, Bradley Party & Variety is going all-out for the Halloween season, aiming to be the headquarters for costumes, decorations, accessories, party goods and more. Stop by between 3:00 and 7:00 PM daily to see the gargoyle in the front window put on a scary performance complete with sound and billowing smoke. Want to buy it for yourself?
