Greek cuisine at 4925 Bethesda Avenue is being replaced by recipes from much farther east next week.

Himalayan Heritage will bring its Nepalese and Indian menu to the space next week, right next to the Nest Cafe.  If the name sounds familiar, it's because it is:  Himalayan Heritage already has one restaurant in Adams Morgan.

A spokesperson for the DC restaurant told me by phone that the Bethesda location is scheduled to open November 2.  The sign is already up, and the dining room is decorated.

WINE TASTING IN BETHESDA TONIGHT

You'd be surprised how many people visit Bethesda Avenue and don't realize there is a whole other world there on the other side of Arlington Road.

Find out tonight with a Lantana wine tasting at Cork 57, from 5-8 PM.

Wines you'll be sampling include David Hill's Pinot Gris (rated 93 by Wine Enthusiast) and Black Label Reserve 2008 (90).   Then move on to Columbia Valley's Kiona, Ferme de Gicon Rose, and Premio Falanghina.
