Orangetheory Fitness Bethesda is fit for the Super Bowl (Photos)

Orangetheory Fitness Bethesda
at 7955 Woodmont Avenue is ready for Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Their lobby is decorated with a pigskin tablecloth, honeycomb paper footballs and an inflatable goalpost. A cardboard running back thunders across a tabletop toward the end zone. Of course, barring a shocking incident of another sort, this Sunday's game will be remembered as the Taylor Swift Super Bowl. Sure enough, the disembodied cardboard heads of Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift and a cat grace the window of the gym.

WSSC to turn off some Woodmont Triangle customers' water off at 10 PM on Super Bowl Sunday

Those not living under a rock for the past three weeks are aware that the New England Patriots will play the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII tomorrow evening. However, local water utility WSSC has announced it will be repairing a broken 6" water main at 7766 Woodmont Avenue in Bethesda's Woodmont Triangle, starting at 10:00 PM Super Bowl Sunday night. Not only will some Super Bowl parties not be over by 10:00, but the game itself could extend into that hour.

Imagine the surprise of Super Bowl party guests when faucets and bathroom facilities are rendered useless at 10:00 PM. The water will not be restored until 4:00 AM Monday morning, according to WSSC. If your service will be affected, you should have received a notice by now from WSSC directly, or through your property management office.

PUPPY BOWL VIII

When dozens of four-legged football players take the field this Sunday, they won't be representing New York or Boston.

Super Bowl Sunday is also Puppy Bowl Sunday. While the 2012 Puppy Bowl is played in New York, let's not forget that this gridiron tradition got its start in Bethesda!

That's right, the original Puppy Bowl stadium was in a production studio right here in Bethesda, and many bowls were played there.

Just remember that this Sunday, when your dog changes the channel to Animal Planet.

A football legacy that began in Bethesda, Maryland.
