3 MORE WEST BETHESDA THEFTS - BETHESDA CRIME REPORT

Evidence that one or more thieves are currently operating in the Westbard area of Bethesda has been bolstered by 3 new thefts.

A theft Wednesday in the 5300 block of Western Avenue, and two more on Thursday, should remind everyone in that area to lock their doors, windows, garages and vehicles.

The Thursday thefts were in the 5000 block of Worthington Drive, and 6300 block of Walhonding Road.  Those locations are about 2 minutes apart by car.

ROBBERY IN BETHESDA

There was a mild spike in crime along the Massachusetts Avenue corridor in Bethesda this weekend.  It included the first robbery in west Bethesda since January, if I recall correctly the year's statistics.

On Friday, a theft was reported in the 5000 block of Ft. Sumner Drive.  Saturday, there was a robbery in the 5300 block of Massachusetts Avenue, and a theft in the 6400 block of Walhonding Road.  Walhonding is a few blocks up Massachusetts from Ft. Sumner.

Take note of suspicious persons and vehicles in your neighborhood this week.
