Imagination Bethesda canceled

Bethesda Urban Partnership has canceled Imagination Bethesda, a children's street festival that had been scheduled to take place today, June 2, 2018, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.  As of 6:00 AM this morning, The Weather Channel predicts scattered thunderstorms from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with more widespread storms to follow after 3:00 PM. The threat of thunderstorms will continue until 3:00 AM tomorrow morning, according to The Weather Channel.

BETHESDA CENTRAL FARM MARKET CANCELED SUNDAY FEB. 16

This Sunday's Bethesda Central Farm Market is canceled, due to poor conditions in the Bethesda Elementary School parking lot where the market is held weekly. The market will be held next Sunday, February 23, as scheduled (barring another blizzard).

KENWOOD FIREWORKS POSTPONED UNTIL LABOR DAY 2013 IN BETHESDA

A representative of the Kenwood Country Club tells me that the fireworks display that was canceled last night, has been postponed until Labor Day in September 2013.

Obviously, this is mostly disappointing news. And the weather was actually fine for fireworks last night, as it turned out.

The only positive is that Bethesda will have fireworks on Labor Day weekend, and they will be the same, high-quality Kenwood fireworks.

If you are a member of the club, the employee said you can place reservations for the rescheduled fireworks, dinner, etc., etc. beginning tomorrow.

KENWOOD FIREWORKS CANCELED TONIGHT

I just checked with the Kenwood Country Club, and they said tonight's fireworks have been canceled due to weather.

At the moment, they did not have a rescheduled date for the fireworks display, but I will pass it along if and when it is official.

This is very disappointing, as I believe this is the first time weather has caused a cancellation of the Kenwood fireworks. Especially because these are the best fireworks in the area, in my opinion.

BETHESDA CENTRAL FARM MARKET CANCELED THIS SUNDAY

This Sunday's Bethesda Central Farm Market has been canceled.  The market will return the following Sunday, October 28, for a special Halloween market.

BCFM is inviting patrons to a "combined market" at the Mid-Pike farm market this Saturday, 9:00 AM to 2 PM at Mid-Pike Plaza on Rockville Pike.
