Royal Cleaners closes in downtown Bethesda (Photos)

Royal Cleaners has closed at 7028 Wisconsin Avenue, next to Golden City restaurant. The space is now for lease. Hopefully everybody had a chance to pick up their dry cleaning before it closed!

GALAXIE CLEANERS MOVES TO BETHESDA ROW (PHOTOS)

A long-time Bethesda name in dry cleaning has moved from Old Town Bethesda to 4943 Elm Street at Bethesda Row.

Their new shop is open for business.  The old one is empty, but you have to appreciate some of the vintage flooring and signage there. So I've included a picture of that, too. 

As far as the spelling of "Galaxie?"

I love it - it's spelled exactly the same as one of my favorite vintage cars, the Ford Galaxie.
