Sneak peek: Starbucks at Hyatt Regency Bethesda hotel (Video/Photos)

There's been a lot of progress at the newest Starbucks in downtown Bethesda. But it's not yet clear if this store is the more upscale Starbucks Reserve design, or just a regular store. The store will be in the ground floor of the Hyatt Regency Bethesda hotel at Bethesda Metro Center.

For Reserve locations, you would typically see specialized signage (a star on top of the letter "R") as well as extensive interior millwork. Based on the photos, I'm expecting this location to be your regular Starbucks, though they may offer Starbucks Reserve roasts.

So what exactly is the purpose of that video? 8 seconds, with the camera moving about 10 feet down the hallway...no activity shown, but with a lot of weird, random noise in the background.

6:05 AM It gives a sense of the new Starbucks. Looking forward to it!

Rugby - you actually plan on buying coffee there sometime?

Too bad it’s apparently not a Starbucks Reserve. They are much nicer and more luxurious that the standard coffee shops, with fireplaces, comfy leather sofas, cool clay tile accent walls and lots of copper accents. Surprised they did not think this location was worthy. I think they do sell some Reserve drinks and coffee with ice cream at some of the nicer “standard” cafes. I think their website shows that the one at at Wisconsin and Bethesda is considered such a care that selves Reserve drinks.

6:50am sure, if I want a nice coffee as I ascend from the Metro, I'd stop there to quench my thirst.

Also for meetings and such at the Hyatt.

"Rugby" When was the last time you ascended from the underground wanting coffee? Or was at a meeting at the Hilton?

6:05AM That's the type of video you get when you use a crappy cellphone like Dyer, or he heard footsteps behind him and had to flee the scene.
