A vigil will be held for Charlie Kirk in Montgomery County this coming Saturday, September 20, 2025. The event will be held in Rockville at the Courthouse Square park, located at the corner of E. Jefferson Street and W. Montgomery Avenue in Rockville Town Center, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Saturday. There will be tributes to Kirk, prayers, and speakers. Kirk, the founder of the conservative political organization Turning Point USA, was assassinated on September 10 while speaking at the launch of TPUSA's latest college campus tour in Utah.

Hopefully a peaceful and respectful one. People can disagree on the issues but most people have no tolerance for this kind of tragedy to happen in our country and those that do are totally out of their minds. Sadly, some of those are elected officials. Kirk debated with anyone and the most opposed were invited to the mic at the front of the line. Even the UK held a vigil. Don't like this? Don't agree? That's ok and that's America. But please, let's not make the local or national news on this and make our area look childish and foolish. Lastly, get all kids off social media. The Utah governor is right. It's a cancer. Even Bill Maher agreed with that statement.

And all the Far Left county council cabal would do good to show up there. I'm sorry, but they have made this blatantly political. Marc Elrich and Co attend every far out rally, protest, etc. And you what, that's ok actually. But what I don't think is a good look at all is if zero members of the council attend this vigil which is walking distance from their offices in Rockville. Just sayin.

9:41 - I would disagree with that. The fact is that the degree of over the top, hateful and devisive rhetoric on the Left far outweighs anything that we've seen on the Right. Does it technically happen on both as you said, yes. But again, to a far less and certainly non-violent degree. Here's what I would say, which others have offered. Why on earth doesn't Congress get together and come out with a joint statement in front of the TV cameras telling the country we've had enough? They bloviate about all kinds of nonsense. Can we at least come together in that way and put an end to this? This just shows the bitter fruits of non stop gaming and social media our young people are consuming.

It's like you try to out do yourself with each idiotic comment. We've seen more political violence from the right than the left in recent history and no sign of that abating anytime soon. Minnesota, Jan 6th, Pelosi's husband, Shapiro arsonist, Gabby Giffords, etc.. Even the Trump assassination attempts were by republican's one of which voted for Trump the first time around.

And now Jimmy Kimmel, not funny, not the host of a highly rated show, is being pulled off the air for his hateful comments about Kirk. He won't be missed. That should show you how big this is and how hurtful it is for the country. And the Dem party may be finished. They have no leader and are totally rudderless. All of this hateful and despicable stuff is coming from Dems and hard Left Dems. I and others here rest my case.

Kimmel has been the beneficiary of a special brand of DEI: no-talent louts who are tolerated for their willingness to shill in nasty fashion for the Wall Street faction of the Democratic Party. Even when he was well known for racist and misogynistic material. There are plenty of left-wing comedians who are actually funny and entertaining. Kimmel was never one of them.
Robert, excellent point. Many comments, as you suggest, have been given a free pass. Hopefully, this was the straw that broke the camel's back. Nobody wants what that's selling. Stephen Colbert learned that lesson the hard way and with any luck, Kimmel will be gone too. This is a watershed moment don't kid yourself.

Anyone can take a few words out of context and make it sound like the speaker was saying something 180 degrees off from what he really said. And the list goes on… Get on your computer, social media platforms, and AI tools and realize that these uneducated, no college degree men developed your playground to yap. But ya. It is absolutely so difficult to do, but if Erika Kirk could somehow someway dig down and forgive, the alleged shooter, tpusa would be the biggest thing in the United States.
