Once again, Byrna. Look it up.
For reference, the FBI’s page the on uniform crime stats defines aggravated assault as, “ The FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program defines aggravated assault as an unlawful attack by one person upon another for the purpose of inflicting severe or aggravated bodily injury. The UCR Program further specifies that this type of assault is usually accompanied by the use of a weapon or by other means likely to produce death or great bodily harm.”
Pity MCPD chose to encrypt all its radio traffic, “to help better protect crime victims.” If people were still allowed to monitor such comms they could have been on the lookout for any groups of people running from the area who looked capable of carrying out such a life-threatening attack. Oh well. I’m sure the victim of this felony assault is grateful and feels much safer with report of his assault having been kept to just him, the cops, and the gang of felonious thugs who beat him bloody. Way to keep neighbors uniformed and unable to be extra eyes in the community, MCPD.
Might as well be uninformed, since we're such secondary citizens to be unarmed too.
How far from Nike?
Geeze, that’s what I get for trying to post from my phone without my glasses. Sorry about all the typos and my lousy proofreading in that 5:46 comment, folks.
Kudos to 5:46/12:30! The first time, so far as I can recall, that any commenter on this blog apologized for any statement. And it was actually for an innocent, innocuous, and obvious, mistake.
What happened to all the surveillance cameras?
6:28.. nice.. agree :)
It's the swarming thing they do that worries me most. One alone can be passive but when in a group they can get more courageous and uppity.
12:53 - That's definitely true and yet another reason to protect yourself with a weapon you feel comfortable with which could amount to just pepper spray. Sad state of affairs it really is
