Fairfax Kitchen and Bath expanding to Bethesda

Fairfax Kitchen and Bath
is expanding to downtown Bethesda. Its first Maryland showroom is now under construction at 4710-A Bethesda Avenue, in the ground floor of The Seasons apartment tower, next to Smoothie King. Owner Sam Kazanci moved to the United States in 2010 to be Import Manager for Graniser Ceramic. In 2013, he co-founded Dulles Granite in Sterling, Virginia. Fairfax Kitchen and Bath was his next venture, and it now has showrooms in Sterling and Fairfax.

"I find immense joy in the remodeling business," Kazanci said. "Seeing the smiles on our clients’ faces as we transform their old spaces into their dream homes is priceless. My business philosophy is simple yet profound, inspired by Robert Bosch: 'I would rather lose money than trust.' This principle guides every project we undertake. We treat each home as if it were our own, working tirelessly with my team to deliver the best designs and results."

The current expansion of Fairfax Kitchen and Bath includes not only the Bethesda location, but a third Virginia showroom, this time in Gainesville. Fairfax Kitchen and Bath ensures all of the materials being used for your remodeling project are in place at their warehouse before beginning demolition of your existing kitchen or bath, unlike some companies, to ensure the project stays on-schedule. Free estimates can be booked through their website.

Kitchen & bath remodeling showroom to open at The Seasons in Bethesda

Home improvement and furnishing businesses continue to find a niche in Bethesda. The latest addition will be a new kitchen and bath remodeling showroom at 4710-A Bethesda Avenue. That is in the ground floor of The Seasons apartment tower. The space was most recently home to the short-lived Cubasi Bistro.

Bethesda apartment building wants to turn office space into more apartments

The Seasons
apartment tower at 4710 Bethesda Avenue is seeking to modify its decades-ago development approval to allow its second-floor office space to be converted into 18 additional residential units. This will require a Preliminary Plan amendment. I am sure the residents on the third floor are simply delighted at the prospect of this happening.

Such a change will have to be approved by the Montgomery County Planning Board. No public hearing on the matter has been announced yet, as of this writing.

Cubasi Bistro expanding to Bethesda (Photos)

Cubasi Bistro
is expanding to downtown Bethesda. The fast-casual Cuban restaurant has an existing location in Sterling, between Dulles Town Center and Dulles International Airport. Their menu includes the classic Cuban dishes, sandwiches and empanadas you would expect, and also a few from Puerto Rico. A roasted whole pig can be ordered 3 days in advance at the Sterling location.

The Bethesda restaurant will be in the ground floor of The Seasons apartment building at 4710 Bethesda Avenue. This was previously home to Jimmy John's. Cubasi is on the slower end of the fast-casual spectrum; orders are placed at the counter, and the food is brought to your table when it is ready.

New sign at The Seasons apartments in Bethesda (Photos)

They have Infrastructure Week in Washington, D.C., but this is apparently Canopy Week in Montgomery County. Yesterday, we took a look at the new canopy at Highland House in Friendship Heights. Today, here is the new, lighted sign on the canopy above the entrance to The Seasons apartment tower at 4710 Bethesda Avenue. This is the latest addition to a major makeover of the entrance and ground floor retail areas of this classic Nathan Landow-developed building.

The Seasons ground floor renovation project (Photos)

The Seasons
, the apartment tower at 4710 Bethesda Avenue, is just one of the jewels in the crown of the Nathan Landow real estate empire. It has a more traditional urban design than his other Bethesda residential buildings Crescent Plaza, Fairmont Plaza, and The Promenade, which have more of a resort hotel aesthetic. That design has been getting an update on the ground level, via a massive renovation project that has been ongoing since last year. And it's still not finished! Here is a chronological look with photos taken over the course of the project:
