Warby Parker
reached out to tell me that their new store at Pike & Rose will open tomorrow, Saturday, July 9, 2022. They also sent along these renderings of the storefront and store interior. Warby Parker to open at Bethesda Row Saturday

Eyeglass and sunglass boutique Warby Parker will open this Saturday, May 6, at 11:00 AM, at 4821 Bethesda Avenue at Bethesda Row. This will be Warby Parker's second store in the state of Maryland, and will have two exclusives - an original mural by the French duo of Atelier Bingo (a.k.a. Maxime Prou and Adele Favreau), and a limited-edition pair of sunglasses you can only buy at their Bethesda store, the Durand in Striped Sassafras, with flash-mirrored Pacific Blue lenses.

Customers will find design details that evoke a vintage library: globe light fixtures, comfortable furniture and marble tables and counters. For every pair of glasses sold at Warby Parker, another will be donated to someone in need, through their Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program.

The sign is up at Warby Parker at Bethesda Row. Here are three official renderings I received from Warby Parker, which show what the finished store at 4821 Bethesda Avenue will look like inside. A spokesperson said an official opening date has not been set yet.

Sneak peek: Warby Parker at Bethesda Row (Photos)

Hipster glasses boutique Warby Parker is still under construction at Bethesda Row. But the interior is starting to take shape, including upscale shelving.  Warby Parker is scheduled to open before the end of Spring, and it appears to be on or ahead-of schedule.

Warby Parker confirmed opening at Bethesda Row (Photo)

We knew Warby Parker was coming to Bethesda, thanks to my report yesterday, but now we know where. It turns out my anonymous source was correct, and the boutique will take over the recently-vacated Icebreaker space at Bethesda Row.

The store will be located at 4821 Bethesda Avenue, and Warby Parker has now posted "Coming Soon" window screens at the storefront. Now it will be possible to grab a Bethesda Bagel and a set of hipster frames on the same trip.
