Warby Parker confirmed opening at Bethesda Row (Photo)

We knew Warby Parker was coming to Bethesda, thanks to my report yesterday, but now we know where. It turns out my anonymous source was correct, and the boutique will take over the recently-vacated Icebreaker space at Bethesda Row.

The store will be located at 4821 Bethesda Avenue, and Warby Parker has now posted "Coming Soon" window screens at the storefront. Now it will be possible to grab a Bethesda Bagel and a set of hipster frames on the same trip.

Saw the press release about the timing and location of Warburg a week or two ago. Company put out location info. Great news. Nice shop and good for downtown.

Why does anyone get frames. Even Ben Franklin had frame-less spectacles.
Poseurs..

Also saw this 10 days ago. Commented on Patch mentioned location. For $95 frames and lenses the place is actually good.

Do they also do eye exams?

No, this was not reported elsewhere. I searched the internet. Zero. Zilch. Nada. I broke the story.

Somewhat surprising, since there is an existing Bethesda Row eyeglass seller around the corner. Federal Realty is usually more protective of its retailers.

Why the need to be so defensive all the time Dyer?

Federal Realty is desperate for tenants ... Look at the REI / LL Bean Debacle!!!!!!!
